Ramona Faye Smith

Ramona Faye Smith, 52, passed away on Tuesday, April 19th, 2022, in her home. She was born June 28th, 1969 the daughter of Foster Sr. and Earline (Francis) Gray in Tahlequah, OK. Ramona graduated from Hanna High School in 1989. She attended Kiamichi Tech in McAlester, where she earned her apprenticeship in HVAC. Ramona married James Allen Nester on December 14, 1994 and four children came from this union. She then married Daniel Smith on December 24, 2013. On December 26, 2021, Ramona was baptized at the Lake Eufaula Christian Church where she became a member and gained many great friends in her new church family. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them as much as she could. Ramona enjoyed sewing, fishing and being outside. Ramona is survived by her husband, Daniel Smith of the home, sons; Kenneth Roy Nester of Kentucky and puppy Eastman Smith of the home, daughters; Randi Nester of Eufaula, Raini Nester of Eufaula, Ramona Nester Jr. of Sapulpa and puppy Baby Girl Smith of the home, grandchildren; Gerald Colenutt, Lamiya Nester, Uriah Nester, Peyton Harjo and granddog Bella; and siblings: Virginia Whitehead of Tulsa, Lena Jay and husband Tim of Tulsa, Winey Fowler and husband Randy of Eufaula, Yahnnie Gray, Foster Gray, Jr., Nocus Elle Gray and Jeremiah Gray. She is preceded in death by her parents; Foster and Earline Gray, infant brother, husbands James Allen Nester and Marcus Hampton, and nephew, Cody Gray.
