Joe Dan Carey

Joe Dan Carey, 77, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Joe was born on December 6, 1946, in Checotah, Oklahoma, the son of William "Tootle" Roy and Lois Laraine(Fyffe) Carey. He graduated from Stidham High School in 1965. Joe then received his associates degree from Connors State College in 1967. On May 29, 1971, Joe married Deborah Bethe Mansfield in Cedar Crest, Oklahoma. They were happily married for 53 years. Joe worked at Fountainhead Golf Course as a groundskeeper/supervisor. He enjoyed watching cowboy shows, fishing, taking Cody to rodeos, trail rides, horses, and participating in rooster fights. He also loved watching and traveling with the grandkids. Joe was a member of the Lenna Baptist Church.

Joe is survived by his wife, Debbie, of the home; son, Cody Joe Carey and wife Tasha; daughter, Jo Beth Kaler and husband Steve; sister, JoAnn Rippy and husband Ronnie; and two grandchildren, Grayson Dan Kaler and Pippa Jewel Carey. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Lois Carey and his brother and sister in law Doug and Paulette Carey.
