Jeanetta Mae Anderson

August 16, 1925 — June 12, 2021

Jeanetta Anderson, 95, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021, at her home. Jeanetta was born on August 16, 1925 in Onapa to Ryder and Etta (Carr) Bear. She attended Onapa High School. Jeanetta was married to Bud Howell for several years and raised four children together. She worked in housekeeping for several years at Fountainhead Lodge and later as a "Grandma" at Checotah Public Schools. Jeanetta was a member of the Deep Fork Hillabee Baptist Church, where she was referred to as "Mother" by everyone. She liked to visit her family and friends and take trips to restaurants to eat. Survivors include: son, Jimmy Howell of Charlotte, North Carolina; nine grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud Howell, sons: Donald Ray Howell, Larry Howell; daughter, Rita Ann Howell, brother, Seamon Bear, and three sisters: Della Mae Rayon, Samaria Willbanks, Naggie Willbanks.
