Gloria E Hays

Gloria was born on August 25, 1942 in Howe, Oklahoma to Houston Major “Rudy” and Elsie “Boots” Terry. She graduated from Del City High School in 1960. After graduation, she went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone and later was a stay at home mom to her three children. Gloria returned to school in 1982 attending Connors State College. She went to work for and retired from the McIntosh County Court Clerk’s Office. Gloria was a long-time member of the North Fork Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and Children’s Church. She loved shopping, traveling, gardening, collecting antiques, playing board games, and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include: her husband of forty-five years, Zackie Hays, of Eufaula; children: Rocky Niles and wife, Denise, of Birmingham, AL; Jackie Niles Davis and husband, Rock, of Effie, LA; and Alison Hays Mains and husband, Hoyt, of McKinney, TX; step son, Greg Hays, Campbell, TX; sister, Wilma Terry Wade of Houston, TX; brother, Lowell Terry and wife, Peggy, of Eufaula; step sister, Brenda Shafer; step brother, Bo Peeler and wife, Paula; eight grandchildren: Morgan Hays, Dallas Hays, Courtney McCullers, Chelsea Niles, Keaton Niles, Lane Mains, Cody Mains, and Adam Davis; and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, brother in-laws, and sister in-laws. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Jackie Niles; one brother, Joe Terry; step son, Troy Hays; and step father, Earl Peeler.
