Gladys Evelyn Jones

Gladys Evelyn Jones, 83, of Eufaula passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 at the St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa. Gladys was born on December 28, 1929, in Eufaula, Oklahoma the daughter of Roy Eugene and Lillie Belle (Crabtree) Rhodes. She attended Hanna Schools and graduated in 1947. On May 21, 1947, Gladys married Odell Wilse Jones in Eufaula. He preceded her in death on July 14, 2006. Gladys worked at the Army Ammunition Plant in McAlester for over ten years. She later worked as a toll booth attendant for the State of Oklahoma and retired from that job. Gladys was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Center. Survivors include: her son, Ronnie Jones and wife Nakina of Checotah; her daughter, Pam Campbell and husband Gary of Claremore; her grandchildren, Rodney Jones and Kara of Gainesville, Texas, Angela Smalygo and husband Kelly of Claremore, and Reagan Robertson and husband Rusty of Claremore; her great grandkids, Beau and Eden Jones, Jenna Smalygo and Caden and Michael Robertson; her brother, Haskell Rhodes of Crowder; her sister, Una Dee McCullar of Conway Springs, Kansas; Lavern Campbell of Eufaula, Emma Jones of Eufaula and Agatha King of North Carolina. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years, Odell, a son, Jimmie Jones and an infant daughter.
