Deborah Lee Kauffman

Deborah Lee Kauffman, , of Checotah, passed away on December 22, 2023. Debbie was born on April 11, 1968 in Santa Ana, California to James Russell Damon Sr. and Geraldine Mae Larsen. She graduated from Mayville High School in Bullhead, Arizona. In 1992, Debbie married the love of her life, Billy Doyle Kauffman in Owasso, Oklahoma. They were happily married for thirty-one years. She worked as a Certified Paraprofessional and Bus Driver at Warner and Gore Public Schools for twenty-four years. Debbie enjoyed crafting, crocheting and gardening. Debbie was a volunteer for Southern Baptist Disaster Relief and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for Shady Grove Central High Fire Department and Warner Fire Department. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include: her husband, Billly Kauffman, of the home; sons: Cody Ray Kauffman, of Checotah; Billy Russell Kauffman, of Gore; daughters: Rebecca Kessler and Jessica Kauffman, both of Checotah; brothers: James Damon, of Las Vegas, NV and Richard Damon, of Arkansas; and six grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Russell Damon, Sr. and Geraldine Mae Wildebaur; and one daughter, Chelsea Ann Kauffman on November 23, 1994.
